From our Principal

David began his Lutheran teaching career in Perryville, Missouri in 1970. He came to St. Peters in 1980 to serve as school Principal and classroom teacher. Besides his role as school Principal David also teaches Religion, Math and Science in the 7th and 8th grade classroom. He is involved in church and school choirs and coaches the Math Counts team in our school. Outside of the classroom and school he enjoys golf, reading and music. St. Peter’s Lutheran School is part of the whole ministry of our church. While providing academic excellence remains as a major goal of our program, I feel the strength of our program is developing the spiritual potential of each child. I want them to recognize themselves as a child of God and see Christ as their personal Savior. I want them to acquire knowledge of and develop an understanding of God and His love.

I feel that the most effective way to achieve this is when home and school work together. The teacher helps the students to develop their God-given gifts and abilities while the parents help nurture this development by being loving and supportive of their children. I see the primary focus of our school is to provide the opportunity for students to find identity, purpose and motivation for their life in Christ.
